If I Were the Best Choice
Letter to the Editor:
In campaigning for a political office, especially that of the highest public held office in the country, with honest words, equal policies for the rich, middle class, and poor, and a real balanced budget, not just balanced on the backs of one group of people, why would I need to post negative ads, rearrange voting districts, delete organizations that fund their opponent, avoid all questions with non-answers, meet in secret with people who want political favors for funding of my election, allow those that represent my political campaign to foster violence and racial injustices?
I want the American People to look closely at the TV commercials. Who is using the most negative ads against their opponent to sway public opinion? Who feels it is most necessary to do that, and where is their funding coming from? Commercials are very costly, what do they have to lose that a supporter is willing to put up the really big bucks for advertising?
I want the American People to see who is rearranging voting districts and voter ID laws to their own political party's benefit, while denying voting to millions of people who might vote for their opponent. It is quite visible to see this kind of manipulation of voting for the highest office of our country.
I want the American People to notice that organizations are being waged war against in order to dismantle the funding for the opposite party. Are you still blind to the manipulations?
I want the American People to hear answers to questions, not avoidance of all questions with a general statement and stone-walling. Why would a presidential candidate have to hide behind non-disclosure?
I want the American People to know and understand that the policies that have been put into law, against the wishes of the states middle class and poorer residents will continue into the policies of the President. Do any of you really think they won't? I want the American People to look at past actions of those who want to be President.
I want the American People to know and understand Presidential campaigners are silencing dissenters at their rallies. Shouldn't the American People be allowed a voice in all presidential activities? Should they be the recipients of violence and arrest/removal?
I want the American People to look and understand, when a presidential candidate meets in secret with the groups of people who caused a problem, to decide how to make policies, it is asking the fox how to build the hen house.
So where are we in our presidential race? Who is being truthful? Who is being open with policies? Who is calling on help from experts who did not cause our major financial and job crisis? Who feels they are entitled to tax relief? Who feels they aren't? Who is being funded by billionaires for favors? Who is spending enormous amounts of money for negative ads? Who is really going to keep our country going with relief for families without jobs, housing, food and a future? My advice is to ignore all negative ads. If a candidate won't state their policies in specific terms, then stop listening, if you don't see the previous action to support the words, then don't be a believer. I want the American People to understand campaign promises made without previous action are nothing more than campaign farts.
