Letter to the Editor

I think we need another Boston Tea Party. We have taxation without representation. We have illegal aliens everywhere taking jobs, no respect for the laws, terrorizing neighborhoods, more coming into the county daily from as far as Idaho to the sanctuary city of Cleveland. Law enforcement turn their backs on them for fear of being accused of profiling, or perhaps from other orders. Legal Tennesseans are required to have a drivers license, and insurance, but illegal hide behind a don't ask don't tell policy. Does that mean if they rob, kill, or rape they can't be asked if they did it also?

Did you know we have a welcome center for illegal aliens? Well its a place where they can go to learn how to get welfare, food stamp cards, subsidized housing etc. The Commission is really controlled in this respect by the Chamber of Commerce. State Reps. Brooks and Watson only show up for photo sessions, and have done nothing to solve the problem. None of these so called politicians have or will do anything, they are a waste of taxpayers money. We need to rid the city and county of these so called politicians and elect people who will represent the voters, not ones who just play the game.

The only way to punish the Chamber is to shop in Dalton or Chattanooga, but most do not have the means to do so, but it is a thought.

We must use our most powerful weapon THE VOTE. Remember the article from Jeff Yarber about really doing something to solve the problem? Well I try to keep up, has he done anything? Have I missed something? Please inform if I have.

People, you can't sit around and say why doesn't someone do something, or say what can one person do? If it hasn't already gone to far to recover, we must band together, not as republicans or democrats,but as independents with the POWER OF THE VOTE, and do what's right for America and Tennessee, not a political party. Vote only for those who can get things done. If someone introduces a hundred bills, and none pass he is ineffective, get rid of him or her.
