According to what I hear the "now-complete" Democrat ticket talking about on the stump, the War on Terrorism must have ended. They're both completely mute on the subject. According to them, everyone is out of work, and all the decent jobs were "shipped overseas." Too many people have no healthcare plan. And only the rich have prospered, the 'working people' have gotten the shaft. Taxes on the rich need to increase so we can make them pay more, you too, but them more. That's their mantra, which is what you are to believe. They are acting like the country is on the brink of some kind of disaster (other than the war on terror, which they are in denial about), and they are the ones who will save us from it.
It's understandable why they choose not to talk about the war they call a failure in an economy that they also call a failure.
Let's recap. In his first term, President Bush inherited a recession, turned that around to what now is the strongest economic recovery in 20 years. He didn't do it by giving you anything. He did it by not taking as much from you, letting you own and use your own money.
Created 1.3 million jobs in the first 6 months of 2004, and continue to create jobs. Any honest economist will tell you that in a rebounding economy, actual job creation comes last. And jobs have been and continue to be created. Everyone expects the economy to continue in the upward direction, eventually recovering the so-called 3 million jobs loss that began under the Clinton administration.
After 9/11/01, Bush took the fight that was put upon us by the terrorists and Bin Laden, and moved the front line of the war out of this country and to the terrorists where they live and train and run.
Eliminated 3 terrorist regimes. Two were defeated and one surrendered. Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya.
Seeded Democratic style governments in places where they have never been, Afghanistan and Iraq.
Iraq has regained its sovereignty and is preparing to put Saddam on trial.
Freed 49 million people from Taliban and Saddam torture rape and murder.
Keep this in mind next time you hear them say what they want you to believe, now that you know what the truth is. And let them know by voting for Bush, like Mayor Ed Koch and Sen. Zell Miller, both Democrats.
