I don't know if it is because I am old. I don't know if it is because I have come to have a keen awareness of the "big picture" of what is going on in our country. Or, it may be a combination, but I'm really pissed off. Below is a list of just a portion of what I am pissed off about. These are not listed in any particular order.

I'm pissed off because our country had a president for eight years that was, in my opinion, an idiot.

I'm pissed off that I voted for that idiot twice, but in my defense, I'm even more pissed off I didn't have someone better on the ballot to vote for.

I'm pissed off the American voters put the current president in office, when his resume' didn't include enough management experience to run a convenience store, much less a country.

I'm even more pissed off he will be re-elected this year by a healthy margin.

I'm pissed off a 1st grader in Florida was taken away in handcuffs from an elementary school for becoming "out of control" and nothing the teacher or principal could do would calm him down.

I'm pissed off corporal punishment has been banned in schools. If it had not been banned, I'm sure a good paddling of the out of control 1st grader mentioned above would have easily settled the problem.

I'm pissed off 48% of adult American's pay zero income tax.

I'm pissed off that 37 million in federal tax dollars was used to build an upscale housing project in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with stainless steel appliances and hardwood floors. The estimated cost per apartment was $174,000.

I'm pissed off that over 50% of all new births in America are to single parents.

I'm even more pissed off that most of those "love children," as well as their parent, will end up on public assistance.

I'm pissed off that the divorce rate in our country is over 50% now, as well. Most all divorces will result in their children being neglected to at least some degree.

I'm pissed off  when parents let their daughters as young as elementary school dress "sexy."

I'm pissed off that same parent is surprised when that same daughter turns up pregnant at 13, 14 or 15.

I'm pissed off that we now have a generation of parents who want to be their child's friend instead of being their parent.

I'm pissed off that most school system administrators think they can throw more and more money into education an actually get better test results.

I'm pissed off that an emergency room visit that costs $200 in many countries costs $2800 here.

I'm pissed off that virtually every hospital claims they are continually losing money, yet somehow they keep finding money to keep building fancy additions with marble floors and fine walnut furniture.

I'm pissed off a medication I take costs $18 per pill co-pay with my Blue Cross/Blue Shield policy here, and I can order them from Canada for $3.50 per pill without even filing any insurance.

I'm pissed off that last week, a 4 year old girl was raped in a nearby county. Her rapist was already registered as a sex offender in three different states.

I'm even more pissed he had been convicted for sex crimes in three other states and he was out on parole.

I'm pissed off that I cannot shoot someone I catch stealing from my home or property.

I'm pissed off I cannot even taser someone I catch stealing from my home or property.

I'm pissed off that if they shoot or taser me while stealing from my home or property, they will probably get off because they had a bad childhood.

I'm pissed off because a Muslim on death row in Ohio sued the state because they would not give him his special Muslim diet. He won.

I'm pissed off because after 9-11, I thought the Muslims would all but be banished, not embraced.

And finally, I am pissed because my open faith in Jesus Christ now puts me in the minority in our country, not the majority as it used to be.
