Spring  - A Time to Celebrate

by Alexandra Edwards

Spring arrived early this year with lots of sunshine and warm summer-like temperatures taking us by surprise as early as the first week in April.

Early morning  sunrise over the mountains, the dogwoods and colorful flowering trees in bloom are what make springtime in East Tennessee so incredibly amazing. Spring's warm sunny weather encourages people to come out of winter hibernation and spend more of their recreational time in the great outdoors, which is why some fun and exciting  festivals, fairs and events are planned during the month of May.
