Washington will never change.

As a political animal, this editor is continually searching for clues as to what is really happening in Washington. Reading between the lines is the only viable alternative to accepting what the mainstream media (who are the only organizations with the resources to follow news as it happens) reports on a particular story. Mainstream spin clouds what is really happening and shields the trend of Washington politicos who play a devious ruse on the American public. The federal government system as a whole has been corrupted by money and power. That is not to say there are no honest people conducting public business, of course there are, but Washington has become infested with  crooks, cheats and liars, from the president on down. It is increasingly difficult to sift the truth from the lies. The internet has become a major source to filter out propaganda and lies but even the web is clouded with misinformation seeded by our own government to confuse us.

This continued reading between the lines inevitably has problems of its own but at present is the only way to even come close to the truth about what is happening to our country.

The news media is a farce, with giants like ABC, NBC and CBS so skewed to the left as to be pure propaganda and not worth watching. Cable news networks are not much better at leveling the playing field. CNN has become so politically correct that their news is routinely transformed into either a social justice seminar or an infomercial for the wonders of the Obama administration. There is no pretext of unbiased reporting, it is unabashed social engineering using the news as a cover. FOX cable news is not much better with the self obsessed Bill O'Reilly's nightly lectures on the benefits of his political wisdom. At least FOX still retains a modicum of integrity and has some good news anchors, unlike CNN with all their anchors fashioned after their golden boy Wolf Blitzer. Don't get me started on Wolf Blitzer!

Back to the first sentence of this editorial. Searching for clues as to what is really happening in Washington keeps on leading me to the conclusion that America is doomed as a third rate nation. That the federal government is corrupt to its core is becoming more and more evident, even to the point of it being a threat to the liberty and wellbeing of every man, woman, and child in the nation. There is no question Washington is bankrupting us with each of us, including our children, in debt for over $50,000 and rising rapidly. That is a fact that cannot be glossed over. They have spent this country into permanent serfdom which we can never repay, heck, we are reaching the point that we won't even be able to pay the interest on the loans, yet hundreds of billions cannot be accounted for. There is also no question that Washington is flat out lying to us and when they are caught, they lie some more. ObamaCare, Benghazi, IRS political targeting, NSA spying on us, DEA providing guns to drug dealers, the list is endless, proving without question that our government has finally become the enemy within. I am serious, we are in deep trouble. If the Mafia were running government we would be better off.

Unfortunately, what our government is doing to us is being done to the peoples of countries throughout the world. Many peoples are in deadly conflict with their governments, trying to overthrow apparently legitimate leaders that have turned out to be enemies of the state. Will that be the fate of this wonderful United States of America? Civil war and revolution? Is that the only way to reign in an unruly government? History has shown it is.

Listen to the leaders of the Democrat Party, listen to the leaders of the Republican Party and ask yourself if they are working for you. Ask if they are working for the wellbeing of our country. If the answer is no, watch what happens during the mid-term elections and the 2016 Presidential Elections and ask yourself if the candidates are chosen by the individual party for their love of the American people or love of the party and the status quo. Watch what happens to the the candidates who want to work for the people? Those who are attempting to straighten out the mess the Democrat Party and the Republican Party have gotten us in. They will be destroyed in the media and slammed by both parties.
