Write Elected Officials
Letter To The Editor,
This nation expects when we hire (by vote) leaders to have their attention. Once in office, they find a whole new world and at times get lost in it.
It is up to us to stay in touch. Sensible non-violent letters, reasonably short, is of value. The elected person receiving such input is grateful and will tell you so.
One senator in another state sends his constituents flyers to fill out on selected issues with check boxes for yes or no answers. He claims the letters are a daily ritual which grounds his thinking and he considers each and every one of value.
All of the Senate and House addresses are listed on the wall board in all post offices. Go for it! We help them live like pampered pets, so like a fine race horse groomed, trained and pampered to run (at great expense) by golly he better run and by golly win those issues!
