The Tennessee Mockingbird

Connecticut and Esau

By June Griffin

Now you tell me if I am wrong. Did I see people from Connecticut turning in their guns in exchange for a hundred dollar gift certificate?

Did I hear right? Did the officers in Connecticut say they were wanting to 'get the guns' off the streets? Is this State in the United States? Did the police officers swear to uphold the U.S. Constitution?
Tell me I am wrong. That I don't have my facts straight. That it was another country where this was happening, like Russia or Cuba. Tell me Iwas half-listening to the news and there are not such people within the confines of the United States.

There is the gloating press going on and on with pictures of rifles and guns piled up. Are they afraid of the guns? Why would they be? Where is their love of country and the Rights which God gave us?

June Griffin

Is this not the annual week in which we celebrate the Bill of Rights, where Patrick Henry and James Madison took the great chain and laid hold the devil and his imps and bound them with the Bill of Rights and cast them into the bottomless pit?

And where is the police officer who would rather die than take away a person's Right to Bear Arms and who will uphold the Second Amendment, even to the death? There must be no American police officers in Connecticut.

Alas, we as Americans are bound to the precepts of the Scriptures. It can only be concluded that there are more stupid people in Connecticut than there are in Tennessee. Remember Esau. He, being hungry, said to his brother, Jacob, What good is this birthright when I am hungry? So he sold his birthright to his brother for a mess of pottage. His belly was his god.

And people in Connecticut sold their birthright for a hundred dollar gift certificate. Where are the guns going? Who will get hold of them? Who will trade in them? Who dreamed up this concoction anyway?

There is one thing for certain. The Word of God states that the Lord loved Jacob but He hated Esau. There was no redemption for him, though he wept bitterly after the fact.

We here in Tennessee don't sell our birthright. We may have it FORCED from us by wicked and unscrupulous BATF agents and their job insurances, but there is nothing voluntary in it. We may be forced to pay by heavy taxation the wicked and unscrupulous BATF agents to pick through flea markets to see if there are any honest citizens who are so normal as to try to make a dollar by selling one of their rifles, as they have done in Tennessee and Alabama and Arkansas. These wicked and unscrupulous BATF agents have no regard for our Rights because they are victims of bad schools, bad churches, and training films where their American conscience are bled out of them in their training sessions. A tyrant is an easy prey to propaganda. And after all, as in Germany, they are only "doing their job."

Political Force is one thing and a forced person is a slave, a victim of political rape. But should there be in Tennessee any such as Esau who would voluntarily turn in their firearms for a hundred dollars, I don't like you. You are a fool.
