Taco Rice Pork Chop
3/4 cup rice uncooked
1 cup water
8 oz. tomato sauce
2-3 tbls. taco seasoning
1 green pepper diced
8 oz. shredded medium or sharp cheddar
6 lightly browned center-cut pork chops, salted and peppered
Into a 9x13x2 pan put rice, water, tomato sauce and taco seasoning, stir well. Next, place pork chops, quickly browned, on top of mixture. Place diced green pepper on top.
Cover tightly with foil and bake at 325D for 50 minutes.
Sprinkle cheese on top and then bake uncovered for 15 more minutes. Easy and good.

Sissy Spiva's Orange Juice Cake
1 box yellow box cake mix
1 small box instant vanilla pudding
1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup oil
4 eggs
Mix all ingredients, grease and flour a Bundt cake pan. Pour batter into pan and bake in a Bundt pan at 350D for 35-45 minutes.
Icing ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 cup orange juice.
Mix ingredients and boil 2-3 minutes.
Punch hole with a fork into top of hot cake and pour sugar over the top. Cool, then remove cake from pan. Very soft and tasty.

Leo's Buttermilk Biscuits
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup Crisco
1 cup buttermilk
Put all dry ingredients in medium bowl; cut Crisco in with a fork until well mixed. Add buttermilk all at once just until barely mixed.
Dump out on floured surface, knead 5 or 6 times. Roll out with rolling pin, fold half over on top and lightly roll over again. Cut with floured glass,
Makes 10 biscuits.
Tip 1: Be sure the oven is well heated a few minutes before baking biscuits.
Tip 2: By folding dough over biscuits open easy.
Tip 3: Best to put biscuits on double baking sheets.
Bake at 450D for 12-15 minutes.
