Kiwi:  To peel, cut off ends of kiwi, slide a spoon (bottom up)under skin, and carefully twist spoon around the fruit.  Gently push the kiwi out of its skin, slice into rounds.
Strawberries:  Use an egg slicer to slice strawberries, stem them first.
Meatloaf:  To mix meatloaf place in plastic sealable bag, knead everything until mixed well.
Meat:  Meat will brown easier if you blot first with a paper towel.

Pineapple Salad  (this makes a large amount and is great for special occasions)

Make a dressing of 4 egg yolks, juice of a lemon, pinch of salt, and 1/4 cup whipping cream.  Cook in double boiler until thick.  May be cooked in non stick small pan on low heat stirring constantly.
1 can white cherries.
1 can sliced  pineapple (if can cherries not available use can and 1/2 of pineapple cut in small pieces.
1 bag small marshmellows.
1/2 pound each of white and red grapes cut lengthwise in half.
In a large clear bowl layer fruit with marshmellows, stir in egg dressing over all, pour remainder of 1 pint of whipping cream, do not stir. but cover and chill in frig over night.

Cranberry  Salad  (very good)

1 package raw cranberries.              2 oranges 
Grind up oranges & cranberries add 1-1/2 cups sugar, let set till sugar melts.
2 small boxes lemon jello with 31/2 cups boiling water.
Mix well in large bowl. Add fruit to jello, add 1 1/2 cups of  chopped celery and 1 cup chopped pecans. stir well & refrigerate until jellied.

Green Bean Ham Bake

6 cups cubed peeled cooked potatoes.
2 cups frozen cut green beans, thawed.
2 cups cubed fully cooked ham.
2-1/2 (10oz) shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese divided.
2 Tbls. dried minced onion.
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted.
1/2 cup milk.
1/3 cup mayonnaise.
1/3 cup sour cream.
In a greased 13in. X 9in. X 2 in. baking dish, layer the potatoes, beans, ham, 2 cups cheese & onion. In a bowl combine soup, milk, mayonnaise and sour cream, pour over the top and gently stir to coat.  Cover and bake at 350 D. for 45 minutes.  Uncover and sprinkle remaining of cheese on top and bake 5-8 minutes. Yield 8 serving.
