In his book, Man Of The House, The Life and Political Memoirs of Speaker Tip O'Neill, this powerful politician reveals the shenanigans of his rise to fame and war on old-fashioned Americanism and its roots. Voting to defund the House Committee on un-American activities and voting against the American Legion's requirement of oath of allegiance to our Constitution, he upholds those whom he refers to as "my people," as opposed to "their people," Page 9. In these delineations, he clearly shows his adherence to his class of favorites and move to unseat the liberties granted to private property ownership, all in the name of 'doing good,' for 'his people,' of course. "His people" were Unionists-Democrats and he makes no bones about it. This triplet of favoritism sets up an interesting and contemplative scene.
Everyone has a "people," those with whom they are comfortable, those for whom they will join common cause, those with whom or for whom they may offer their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor. To deny this truth is a delusion. Why Tip O'Neill thought it normal to pen such words is a commentary in itself; he considered it normal that one would fight for their own people and he set his sights and accomplishments to that end. He set in action motions, laws and ordinances which would take away your own right of private ownership and control just to guarantee jobs, benefits, and ultimately public insurance to 'help out the poor,' of course. This bought votes and favor from unthinking and short-sighted people. And Tip O'Neill felt good about supporting 'his people.'
This truth in actuality and principle is ancient and irrefutable. Second Chronicles Seven Fourteen states: "If my people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and will heal their land" This precludes that first, God has a people - they are His people. He has them under His coverage and He will fight for them in His powerful ways and means, He will make war on their enemies, He will make bear His arm, He will heal them and their land, He will show the world who His people are, a status highly desired. The blessing which ascends on God's people is irrefutably shown in the United States of America, our honor and oaths upon the Holy Bible, our guide and civilization guaranteed under the Ten Commandments given to Moses and inscribed in the marble halls in our national and state capitols, the purposes and resolves stated, yea, shouted through the Declaration of Independence, and the unspeakable gifts and liberties to the individual citizen in the Bill of Rights - all these are beloved and defended by God's people. To them are the favors.
Just because you love your own people does not mean that you hate those that are not your people (this is inserted for the unlearned and incompetent) but it does mean that should any dare to touch those beloved ones, you will fight for them. That the so-called American Civil Liberties Union has made war on our people also demonstrates their defense of their people, in the vernacular of such as Tip O'Neill and they have made war through infiltrating the judiciary and stirred up lawsuits to fill their coffers through the dark provisions of Title 42 USC 1988, gaining their vile legal fees out of your tax dollars. Again, the American Legion at the 2004 Convention in Nashville passed resolve to put an end to this litigating thievery.
Who was it in Congress that hindered this good Resolve? They warred against "my people," thus saith the Lord and they will be brought to nothing. Who is on the Lord's side?
