AAA Laser Lube

It was my unfortunate experience to have an engine malfunction driving down 25th Street in Cleveland while on the way to a doctor's appointment. But as luck would have it the terrible engine noise (like it was coming apart) happened right outside AAA Laser Lube at 80 25th Street NW. After hastily pulling into their parking lot and bailing out, one of their employees by the name of Corey came to investigate. Corey soon identified the problem as a broken something-or-other, so the vehicle was stranded blocking the parking lot until it could be towed. To make what could have been an unpleasant experience pleasurable, the owner of Laser Lube, Jerry, offered a ride to the doctor's office. Thanks Jerry and Corey, people like you help to make Cleveland a special place.

If any of our readers need an oil change, try AAA Laser Lube. I haven't used them yet, but I intend to because if they are so nice to a person who is not their customer I can imagine their response if they were.

Not so busy buses

Just a thought... why is it that when you see one of the new public transport system buses, it is always empty? Mayor Tom Rowland assured the taxpayer that the buses were vital for a growing city like Cleveland but hardly anyone seems to want to travel on them. I wonder if it would be less of a drain on the taxpayer if the city were to purchase cars for the few that use them.

See if you can spot the rider?

Garbage vistas

The new (and expensive) Greenway is so popular it was planned to give away a tee-shirt to anyone who was willing to take a stroll among the garbage. There is talk of more money needed to extend the trail to the Hiwassee river but the part that is finished is already becoming an eyesore. The City of Cleveland is strapped for cash, can't maintain the streets in descent repair yet are promoting a Greenway they can't afford or even maintain. One wonders if the state grants are the prime objective and not a pleasant resource for Clevelanders. Building the Greenway when money is tight makes as much sense as a homeowner building a water garden when there is a hole in the roof of the house.
