November comes between autumn and winter. The trees are bare, and dead leaves have lost the pretty colors they once had. The weather is usually ideal for football and people do not seem to mind sitting in the cool air to watch a game. We are looking forward to Thanksgiving, celebrated on the 4th Thursday of the month. Also, we can forget our diets and enjoy the good food and good fellowship with family and friends.

November woods are bare and still,
November days are clear and bright,
Each noon burns up the morning's chill,

November might be called a "stressful" month. We're getting ready for Thanksgiving and then it's not long until Christmas. We've got so many hurrying things to do. Don't let Stress overtake you during the holidays. Don't let yourself:
* get over tired
* get irritable
* lose your temper
* feel overwhelmed with all the readiness of getting ready for the holidays.
Let November become a Thankful month. It's easy to be thankful for good

things. A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks.

"Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." Ephesians 5:20.

Be thankful for clothes that fit a little snug .... it means you have plenty to eat.Be thankful for the spot you find at the far end of the parking lot... it means you can get your exercise of walking today. Be thankful when the alarm goes off so you can get ready for work... it means you will have money to buy food. Be thankful for aching muscles at the end of the day.... it means you have

been productive. Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire ... it means that if you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Thanksgiving Prayer

Dear Lord, on this Thanksgiving Day.
We offer thanks to you
For all the lovely things on earth;
For dawn when day is new;
For gold of falling autumn leaves;
For starry midnight sky;
And most of all for those who grow
Most dear as years pass by
Who listen when we want to talk,
Who always understand,
Who know when we need cheering up,
Who lend a helping hand.
Dear Lord, for all your gifts we bow
In gratitude, and pray
That you will bless the ones we love
On this Thanksgiving Day.
