I keep hearing and reading about how politicians and the liberal elite tell us that because low paying American jobs are going begging, we should open our borders to illegal aliens, give them drivers licenses, let them pay college tuition under resident status and pay social security benefits to those who have never paid into the fund. In short, all they really want to do is justify legitimizing these illegal aliens presence in the U.S. The proponents of this give away program to those who have broken our immigration laws never mention the drain these illegal aliens place on our courts, hospitals, schools and other public services. Is giving them the right to vote as non-citizens, the next step in destroying our national sovereignty and the quality of life American citizens have grown to expect? The mainstream media never bothers with these facts, and only a handful of knowledgeable writers mention's the hardship this creates for those who legally reside in this country.

As a nation, we are told the only reason these aliens sneak across our borders is to take the jobs that we Americans refuse to do. We are told that Americans won't take these jobs because we can't live on the amount of money these jobs pay; and yet, illegal aliens purportedly have no problem doing so. If that's a fact, then why should illegal aliens get away with not paying their hospital bills, needing taxpayer funded translators in court, demanding that we accommodate their numerous languages and customs; give them educational benefits not afforded transient American citizens and a plethora of other social services. And since these individuals knowingly and willfully violated our immigration laws, what makes anyone with a sound mind believe they will be interested in obeying any of our other federal and state statutes, much less becoming truly productive American citizens?

When considered along with the outsourcing of high tech jobs (and the wages that go with them), this legitimizing of illegal aliens program obviously has but two functions. First, it is designed to court the vote of the families and friends of those who obeyed our laws, and legally entered our country. Second, it is designed to lower our standard of living (although not that of politicians and the social elite) by creating greater competition for whatever menial jobs are left for those who don't conform to the elitist's preconceived agendas.

The talking heads on the nightly newscasts tell how Americans refuse to fill certain jobs. Accept if you will, the term "Jobs that Americans won't fill" is a myth, a fraud perpetrated on the American public. With this in mind, we must then consider why low wage, dead end jobs go unfilled by American citizens. The answer my friends, is quite simple. There is an element of our society that knows that taxpayer funded programs will feed, clothe, house and give them medical care. There is a reason these jobs are not being filled, and that is because there's no need for them to work at these low paying jobs; they are assured that our big brother government will support and pay them with our tax dollars to sit on their backsides. They know they will not be allowed to go unclothed, unfed, or not receive medical care. They don't care that all they accomplish is to further exacerbate the onerous tax problems that entitlement programs, sponsored by our public servants, have created. Why should they work when they know that elements of government will use our tax dollars to see to their every need?

Knowledge is the key that unlocks the shackles of bondage.
