Local Car and Bike Show attracts large crowd

The Cleveland Flea Market Car and Bike Show received another good turn out on June 21st, their second show this year. The show, held in the large flea market parking lot at 1660 S. Lee Hwy. was organized by Tammy Hines, Bob Lyle and Daryl Banther and sponsored by several local merchants and attracted a good selection of classic cars and few custom made motorcycles.

Dash plaques and goody bags went to the first 50 entrants. There were numerous door prizes given away, 50/50 tickets, concession stand selling hamburgers and hot dogs and lots of oldies music from DJ-Announcer Avery Torbett.

Special guest Stephanie (Yancy) Powell,

famous local dirt track driver was available to sign autographs and was accompanied by her husband Daryl, both had their custom made Race Cars on display.

Trophies awarded included "People's Choice" and Top 25 which were judged on cleanliness by  judges Scottie Hines and Tom Davis.

The People's Choice "Best of Show' trophy went to a 1937 Alpine Green Metallic Chevrolet, owned by Robert Banks.

'Kleanest of Klean"  was 1976 Chevrolet Camero, owner Bobby Horn.

All proceeds from the show went to the Shriners and Disabled Veterans organizations.
