"And I also will make thy officers peace and thine exactors righteousness." Isaiah 60:17

Penalties for crime reflect the God of the nation and the laws which emanate from this deity. Definitions of crime and sin are the product of this deity. This columnist will venture to say that the Bible is the only religious Book which will furnish peace officers.

All others are under the category of Law Enforcement. This means that any law which is passed, no matter how cruel or unjust, must be enforced and the Enforcer is justified in his cruelty, just because he is "doing his job." There is no mercy or grace or individual discernment with Law Enforcement. When the Roman Soldier had to carry out the Roman laws against Christ, he was a member of law enforcement. When the Sheriff listened to your good reason for speeding, and granted you a warning, he was a Peace Officer. Law enforcement is granted no leniency for motive, nor can he consider motive, rather he is the Arm of the Law which even a despot may have passed to feather his nest. The Peace Officer considers the motive. A world of difference! As does a Righteous Judge!

When the woman in Luke 18 asked vengeance upon her enemy, she had to continually beg the Judge to grant her the just request. He put her off perpetually. Importunity, not justice prevailed, merely because she wore him out, not because her cause was just or right, but because of her importunity. What she suffered in the meantime of having to come again and again and beg for justice merely illustrates the point. She was under the jurisdiction of Law Enforcement. But Christ rightly states that the faith of the Just is that the God of the Bible will be a Peace Officer.

God's Law is the fountainhead of Peace, under the Order of Melchisedek which order is: First Righteousness, then Peace. The heinous and un-American wickedness which accompanies the mandates of government grants is so foreign to our Peace Officers as this columnist is unable to describe its injustice. The so-called "Dead Beat Dad" laws are the work of imbeciles. Take away a man's driver's license to punish him for not paying his child support! How on earth is he supposed to come up with the payments? Rob a bank? Where will he go for redress? Seeing the judicial system is a mere tool of Law Enforcement, and the law must be enforced, what do such men do where there is no redress? The papers are filled daily with men, who having been put through the hopeless systems of today's "justice," and seeing no way to get out of this morass, merely wipes out the whole family and his soul ends in hell, if he dies, and in a living hell, if he survives. 42 USC 666,,,1996! How bloody is Health and Human Services who were there to "help out!" This is Law enforcement in its finest hour, with the vain covering of "helping the children."

It is reported that the German officers were merely "doing their job" as Law Enforcement. The Japs who bombed Pearl Harbor were a fine example of Law Enforcement and offered their lives as a sacrifice to their oriental god - a colorful means of Law Enforcement.

When a nation turns its back on Almighty God, and loses its Peace Officers, in the vacuum comes that hypocritical and cruel entity - Law Enforcement. Is not the Internal Revenue Service a prime example of Law Enforcement, demanding that every "t" be crossed and every "i" be dotted? There is no mercy or grace, and hard-hearted Law Enforcers see to it that one meets the severest penalties in these unholy exactions, while they piously mouth that they are just "doing their job," and thus free from condemnation? Will not the Judge of the Whole Earth do right?

When the Exactor and member of Law Enforcement, Zaccheus, climbed up the sycamore tree to see the Saviour, as  part of his repentance, he was to restore what he had stolen. John the Baptist told the soldiers to take no more than was due then; they were to become Peace Officers and give up their badge as Law Enforcement.

There is no excuse for such conduct in the United States of America. Every Peace Officer takes a solemn oath to uphold the Constitution and that Constitution includes the Bill of Rights which is the Paragon of Mercy and Righteousness and Individual Liberties. These "chains of the Constitution" will not allow such creatures as the Communist Law Enforcement in China, the Soviet Union, and other Red nations, the tyrants of Mid and South America!

Sheriffs and Constables, arise! You are Peace Officers and are duty bound to save us from the Law Enforcement of a godless and out-of-control Federal judiciary and their armies of Law Enforcement. It is your duty to control your County and save your citizens who live in astonishment at the Enforcers who move in with their pockets full of bribes and "grants," which are the fruit of the labor of God-fearing men and women, whose EPA Law Enforcement?s velvet glove wields the government gun, robs and pillages private property, while their Employees-Law Enforcers insist they are merely "doing their job," to "save the earth."

Jesus once faced Law Enforcement when a woman was taken in adultery. This Merciful Peace Officer knew the Law, which stated that both the man and the woman caught in adultery were to be brought, not just one of the parties, but both, and He knew the wickedness of their hearts, and let her go free because she was singled out, contrary to the Law. Peace Officers know the intent of the Law, as well as the letter and they are also cognizant of the motives of not only the offenders but the instigators of evil laws.

God give us Peace Officers! "The Lord is our Judge, the Lord is our Lawgiver, the Lord is our King: He will save us." Isaiah 33:22.
