Along with Elvis, Madonna, Prince and other stars, murdered Trayvon Martin has achieved the "one name" status. Unfortunately, he had to die first before he could achieve it.
Black people in hoodies scare me. Why shouldn't they? They don't live in my neighborhood, but I do see them in TV shows and movies, always portrayed as being up to no good. However, bottom line is being a black man in a hoodie does not make you guilty of anything, unless not being dressed like a white boy is a crime.
We were near Sanford, Florida when Trayvon was killed. We heard the 911 tapes played on the local radio stations many times. As most of you already know, George Zimmerman was told, "Do not follow him - go back to your apartment and wait for the officer to arrive." Disregarding what he was told, George Zimmerman chose to take the matter into his own hands. Trayvon Martin paid for George's decision with his life. Zimmerman may not be guilty of first degree murder, but he is certainly guilty of something.
